When a design plan calls for a fire-feature, we have to determine whether a fireplace or a firepit will work in the space allotted. Furthermore, the habits of the homeowners are always a consideration. Sometimes when dealing with small spaces, we’ll even suggest a moveable firepit on top of a patio so that the area can be further utilized.
The photo shown features a fireplace that Greenshooz Landscaping created in 2015. It’s positioning on the patio created privacy, blended well with the surroundings, and anchored the space well. In this instance, a firepit would have taken up too much space on the patio, leaving little room for furniture and play. The fireplace was a great choice and truly created a warm outdoor living space.
